Endowments & Scholarships

The Marietta Schools Foundation has paid out over $2,000,000.00 in scholarships and endowments through our ever expanding commitment to promoting educational achievement and excellence, as evidenced by our Marietta City Schools and alumni accomplishments.  Scholarships funded through the Marietta Schools Foundation are listed below.  Additional scholarship opportunities are listed on the Marietta High School website .

 

SCOTT D. BARTON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Awarded to MHS graduate and/or any member of First Presbyterian Church or its Youth Groups. Criteria for selection include essay, church activities, good moral character, variety of interests, high SAT score.

2014 Scholarship Awarded  -

ALEXIS GRUBBS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Awarded to MHS graduate who intends to pursue a career in some aspect of the legal field. Recipients shall be bright, compassionate, wholesome, respectful, courteous, unselfish, family oriented and focused.

BEN T. WILKINS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Awarded to MHS graduate who best exemplify the spirit of “Be Somebody”. Characteristics sought will be leadership, scholastic promise, and financial need.

2014 Scholarship Awarded  -

Jonah Landa

ADELINE H. D’AMELIO SCHOLARSHIP
Awarded to MHS graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in nursing or other areas of the medical profession. Recipient must possess strong academics, leadership, and community service.

2014 Scholarship Awarded-

Raigon Wilson

CHERYL LOVE EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
First awarded in 2011, this scholarship is awarded to a four-year student at Marietta High School committed t becoming an educator.
