The purpose of the Mia Ryanne Barcarse Scholarship fund is to create a scholarship to be awarded to a Marietta High School Senior who embodies Ryanne’s kindness, compassion, creativity, and an ambitious nature to make a mark in the world.

Ryanne was a Freshman in the Class of 2024 at Marietta High School when she unexpectedly passed away January 7, 2021.

Ryanne was a shy, quiet, but incredibly artistic young lady. She played the violin, performed in Winter Guard, danced, sang, volunteered, baked, hand-crafted items, adored her animals and could illustrate and paint in all sorts of medium. These activities were telling of her contributions, interests, skills and attributes.

The Mia Ryanne Barcarse Memorial Scholarship honors her life by recognizing a Marietta High School senior with an interest to pursue a career in the arts and an innate desire to make the world a better place by utilizing his/her talents.
